The DeHavilland DHC2 Beaver is an iconic Canadian aircraft that first flew in August 1947. The aircraft was designed as a rugged, utilitarian aircraft for bush flying, cargo transport, reconnaissance and passenger transport in remote and challenging environments and has an excellent Short Take-Off and Landing capability. As well as being fitted with tricycle undercarriage, the Beaver can be equipped with snow skis and floats, to allow it to operate from water. Powered by a Pratt & Whittney R985
