If you like simple hiking then McDowell creek in Lebanon, Oregon is for you! It is nice and short and stunning, in june-august when the water slows you can swim in the river. There is limited service up there and pretty well shaded. You can track your hike on @AllTrails and make sure to keep your cars locked and important items with you.
