Some popular instruction out there now that I think really hurts people's distance, is to limit the amount the hips turn. If my hips only turn, say, 20 or 30 degrees in the back swing, I don't have enough separation or enough flexibility personally. And I see most people don't really get that 90 degree shoulders turn.
