We enjoyed a barefoot (and welly) walk in our Spark garden Play and Stay group today. There are so many benefits to barefoot walking (especially for children); it provides a vast sensory experience, allows natural development of the feet, strengthens the foot, ankle stability and fine motor muscles in the foot, it even helps brain development as children learn to balance and develop each sensory system in the body, it has a calming effect and most of all is FUN.
