Just because the stain looks great in one application, doesn’t mean it’ll look the same for another! 2. Use a pre-conditioner! This helps to make sure the stain is absorbed evenly and to avoid a blotchy finish 3. Go with the grain and lightly sand with 220 between coats for a smooth finish. 4. Pray that it all works out!
