Glen Canyon Dam

Awesome water powdered turbine on display at the Glen Canyon dam. I love seeing these large engineered and machined parts! Most folks who walk by and look at it don’t think about the work that went into making a part like this but of course the machinist in me is thinking of the casting, machining and setting into place where it was used. We also enjoyed some spectacular views at the visitors center overlooking the dam, bridge and Lake Powell. Unfortunately they are not offering the dam tours ri
