Víctor Lidio Jara Martínez (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈbiɣtoɾ ˈliðjo ˈxaɾa maɾˈtines]; 28 September 1932 – 16 September 1973) [1] was a Chilean teacher, theater director, poet, singer-songwriter and Communist [2] political activist.
