Born and raised in AZ and this is the first time in my entire life I’ve ever seen someone ask about living in Black Canyon City. I don’t think there’s anything there but the pie place and the gas station next to it. I would not live there… I wouldn’t even really call it a town it feels like a side of the highway attraction/road trip stop

2016年8月3日 · I think Chileen's on 17 is in Black Canyon City. It was on Bar Rescue a few years ago, seems to be doing a lot better. Bbq and whatnot, and right off the 17(as the name implies). A local motorcycle club does an annual Waylon Jennings run up there. I guess they wouldn't keep doing it If it sucks. That's all I got.

I think my emotional low is always at the aid station 10km before Black Canyon City Leaving Black Canyon City for the river crossing and starting the first big climb isn"t too bad.

Black canyon is a full day depending on what you wanna do. If you are a big biker and like a challenge, get there early and get a permit for Gunnison route. Bring plenty of water and a lunch. Or oak flat, uplands and rim rock trail will take you 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours depending on how long to stop to look at the canyon. It's a beautiful park.
