2014年1月14日 · Finally the bulb fit all the way in. It was quite a snug fit, but I still wanted to find some way to keep the bulb more secure. I drilled a small hole in each side of the headlight housing, right at the base of the bulb. Then I put a screw in each and screwed them in just till they were pressing on the bulb. Seems pretty secure.

2020年12月31日 · If it fails, the voltage may drift too high when rpms are up there, and cause the bulb element to get too hot and fail. I suggest checking the max voltage at the headlight. Not to absolute on whether it is pulsing DC or is AC, but the voltage should reach a max and not go higher no matter the engine rpm.

2013年9月11日 · This is a good augmentation but check the lumens before substituting one for the other. I was looking at these types of bulbs recently and what I found is that they put out around 300 lumens, whereas my 45w incandescents (which still aren't bright enough for me) put out about 840 each.

2017年6月22日 · First issue is the halogen you linked draws 55/60w and the bulb you have is 25w so don't think you'll be able to get that much power from your stator. Secondly the bulb is still a halogen bulb, you'd be better off with a xenon or led bulb. Your LED bulb you listed isn't 25w and I see no reason why you wouldn't want to at least keep the same ...

2017年11月17日 · With the 45W bulb in place I completed my ride without issue. I did miss the 50W xenon for the rest of the ride though. Switching back and forth you really see the change. The 45W was an upgrade from the 35W stock bulb, but it was still a big disappointment after riding with the 50W xenon headlight. I took another look at the xenon bulb today.

2014年9月29日 · I'm guessing that was meant to say something along of the lines of you just want more light than stock. Stock should be a 35W B-base/BA20D bulb. A 45W is an upgrade. I use a 60W in my Triton that still has the stock housing. I've bought them from the site below for the most part. Cheap enough to try both or keep a spare on hand.

2016年2月16日 · The bulb should work with AC or DC. Sometimes LED replacements aren't made exactly the same. Look at the base of the bulb if possible and compare to the regular 1157. Sometimes the contacts aren't as large or raised as much and it will make them fail to illuminate one or both circuits.
