If you were installing a NEMA 15-30 device, which does not have a neutral, the terminals would be marked X Y Z and G. In each case, the X Y or Z terminals designate "hot" lines.

2012年6月20日 · When the appliance lists two voltages (x/y), it usually means it requires BOTH voltages to operate, NOT EITHER one (x) or the other (higher) . It's like saying, you require cold AND hot water at your sink faucet, however you need only cold water to your toilet, and only hot water to your dishwasher... A 208v socket may have just 208v and not 120v.

2012年1月17日 · Problem: Smaller generators tend to have only a 3 prong 120v receptacle, which don't play well with the 4 prong power transfer box. I thought of simply making a 3 wire to 4 wire cable & "jump" the x & y leads to give 120 to both sides of the panel. Of course, the well pump would HAVE to be off for this to work.

2020年2月11日 · From here that Y looks like a 2" X 1-1/2 X 1-1/2 Y. If you wipe off the top of it you should see the size embossed in it. Meaning the pipe coming out of the wall is 2". Cut the pipe right behind the Y. Put on a 2" to 1-1/2" glue up reducing coupling. Put on a short piece of 1-1/2 PVC pipe. That will get you out beyond the stop valve.
