2010年5月12日 · Vetusware, last I remember it, got a lot of their collection from the old winworld. Now, I could be wrong on this one but the impression that I got was none of the downloads were tested. Some of them were corrupt archives, I've heard one or two even had a virus in it. They harvest from a ton of other sites and don't really investigate.

2016年12月29日 · Well, anyway, I still intend to upload stuff to Vetusware - it's the perfect "inbetween site" for places like Winworld on one extreme, and the bottom of the heap torrent sites like Demonoid & TPB. (Got to help unravel the first Intel MAC OSX - couldn't have known about it if I hadn't been a regular at the Green Demon).

It's changed over the years - especially since I'm no longer involved in Usenet and we rocked the scene. but nowadays, everything worthwhile I first upload to archive.org, stuff salvaged and not from original media i may also put up at Vetusware, and occasionally, I have something that "I" think merits …

There were a few scrambled bits at the same byte location within a number of sectors. Fortunately, they had at least included two different dumps that had these errors at different locations.

2016年7月4日 · I have successfully downloaded and extracted the dBASE III Plus 1.1 and it opens fine. I was even able to copy the same files to my picture framing directory and able to manipulate my data bases.
