2018年11月25日 · This is why actual twigs are preferable: making enough shavings to keep feeding into a stove for 15 to 20 minutes is quite a chore; gathering a peck of fine twigs is (usually) easy. A pocket bellows or stainless steel straw can be invaluable. I've used my twig stove when camping with another person one time but won't again.

I wanted a minimalist stove, it had to fold flat and compact enough to fit in the smallest of shirt pockets, which ruled the 'permanently can shaped' stoves out for me.

I came across some of the pictures I took of the process and thought some of you might be interested in how easy they are to make. I used a stainless steel panel from the front of an old gas grill for the material, the steel is about .02" thick.
