2021年6月20日 · A 60 dollar rod is usually fairly equal between manufacturers. The low-cost rods will be heavier, less sensitive, and use cheaper components. A finesse rod needs sensitivity. A rod for cranks and spinnerbaits needs a solid backbone. The weight will be in line with the price. A rod over 100 will be noticeably lighter than a 60 dollar rod.

Their mission is to make affordable, quality fishing equipment for the everyday angler. So far all are still going and a couple of baitcast reels I have from them will outcast most Shimano and Daiwa reels. They sometimes have quality control issues but every company does. Sixgill customer service is the best I have ever dealt with.

2018年6月25日 · I bought the 7' M casting rod and 7' M spinning rod. I wanted the casting rod for light jigs and t-rigged plastics. The spinning rod for senko's, tubes, heavier "finesse" stuff like bigger shakey heads, ball head jigs, ned rigs, etc. I really like the casting rod, everything about it is exactly what I was looking for in that model.

2019年8月21日 · Yup, agreed. As I keep learning about new techniques I realize it's not one size fits all for rod/reel. Not to mention constantly cutting and tying something on is a pain. I have really been enjoying my dobyns colt 703 and shimano citica I pairing, though, and I wouldnt want to cut corners to save a couple bucks and then not enjoy fishing with it.
Any folks here ever play around with rdp fly rods?
2020年12月20日 · Fun rod for 3-6” brook trout but your very limited to the size of fly you can cast. Would be fun for smaller blue gills too. What do you plan on fishing for with them? Don’t use them for bonefish though haha. Even a 14” trout is a lot of fish for not a lot of rod
