This is part of series of posts where I ask about your opinions of deepwoken items The Shattered Katana is an endgame Medium Weapon, dropping from chests in high-level locations like Starswept Valley or The Depths. It has a base damage of 20 with 30% PEN, and requires 90 MED to equip. It shares the Katana's unique critical.

Now, in deepwoken every weapon is very unique, making them all balanced with the small difference that some are sliiiightly better than other. If you die with shattered katana and flush it into the Hippocampal pool you won't be able to use it anyways due to it requiring 100 MED.

Shattered doing less base damage by 0.6 with paired soul on both is overcome by a single multiplier (you also just reach multiplier cap way later with shattered). Only real reason to pick katana outside of a 25 med build is the 0.75x speed over the 0.74x speed.
