The SAM turret is only useful for destroying killstreaks (maybe it also destroys recon drones, so the single person that uses those should watch out!) Considering how small the SAM turret is, I wonder if it wasn't originally meant to be a field upgrade. Honestly, I think some sort of pocket SAM turret would be a good field upgrade option.

2022年3月30日 · Yes it is convenient and their height determines the amount of power you get from them, you are truly better off placing them away from your roof. Outside of the whole SAM site issue you've described, it is VERY easy for a half-decent scrappy/mini pilot to place people ontop of those windmills.

2019年4月6日 · Nice. The problem is the battery though. It'll drain continuously, regardless of the SAM site being active or not. Just connecting the splitter is enough to have it drain. Batteries needs some work to be more useful and less annoying. Using a windmill instead or some solar panels to switch between solar and battery could work.

SAM battery is many times more effective at taking out targets than the regular turret. The limitation being the ammo, but you'll only run out if you're going on an absolute rampage with it. Choice comes down to longetivity versus firepower.
