When I was a kid, people made fun of his characters feet, hands and 2 facial expressions. 20 years later and he still can’t draw feet, hands or more than 2 facial expressions.

Rob Liefeld has many images circulating that show he can't understand proportion, anatomy, feet, foreshortening, etc. The greater issue is that he's generally been so colossally arrogant about his own supposed talent, especially as a writer and creator of characters (both of which he's worse at than he is at drawing, which is saying something).

2020年8月17日 · Liefeld's mistake was that he references a body that was flexing for someone that is standing casually. He let Cap hang his left arm down his side, but his chest is puffed as if he's doing this Arnold flex. Arnold is also taking in his belly and pushing out his chest. If Captain America was flexing in the drawing, it wouldn't be as weird.

Rob was very popular in the 90s and has accomplished a lot, but he's not god's gift to comic fans like he makes himself out to be. 2011年9月17日 · Looking at Liefeld now, I can see it. But for the kids like me, his comics were what was great at the time. We went from the end of the golden - bronze era to the transition to the modern era of comics. Liefeld was really one of the people that helped in this rough transition.

2022年4月8日 · During the heights of Image in the 90s, Rob liefeld was one of the worst when it came to hitting deadlines, with Youngblood being consistently delayed. A crossover image did with Valiant that Rob was drawing an issue of got so delayed by Rob's slow work work that someone from Valiant basically sat on his doorstep until he finished the pages.

Doesn’t necessarily make the work itself any better of course but the context is usually wrong when talking about it.
