Budget Issue — Quicken
The message when I try to open the 2022 budget is “You have not selected any categories for your budget “2023 JTC Budget”. A drop-down is titled “Select categories to budget”. I already have a so-named 2023 JTC Budget that I use every day and all the accounts are properly budgeted. I would like to delete this phantom 2022 budget.
Budget Rollover to new Year — Quicken
Yes, Quicken can extend a budget into different years. Note once extended into a given year you can't remove that year short of restoring from a backup. I have one budget that is from 2017 to 2023.
Setting up a budget for next year - Quicken
I change the budget amounts in the comming year mostly increasing the expenses (yep prices keep going up). Quicken keep showing me that I have overspent my budet. It is comparing my 2024 estimates to my 2023 estimates and saing I have exceeded my budget. I want to make the new budget the new baseline.

Budget — Quicken
The Quicken budget doesn't show Budget number as positive numbers for income and negative for expenses, they are all shown as positive numbers. For the math, definition income categories are positive and expense categories are negative.

That is you can change budget entries anytime you want. As for non-monthly amounts just budget the month they occur and leave other months as zero.
Using Savings Goals in the Budget — Quicken
When I looked at the Budget, our Vacation Savings Goal bar was green with -$268 allocated budget. The budget category that was spent ("Vacation") was red with $268 spent/over & $0 budgeted. What I am wondering is if I understand/did this correctly - since the Savings Goal was green -$268, I simply added $268 to the Vacation budget.

When I call up my monthly budget report, it defaults to the year 2014. I recently removed old budgets (about 15 years worth), and I copied the current budget to a new budget, but it still has old budget years. I would like to delete some of the old budget years from my newly copied. Is there a way to do that?
