Hooks must be attached to the rod in order to mount the curtain, and each hook must have a leading hook connected to a carrier. To test the effectiveness of the carriers, re-hang the curtain rod on the hooks and pull on the hang draw strings.

Holding the cords taut, push carrier 2 as far to the left as possible. Hook cord over the lug on carrier 2 to secure it. Replace sliders at each end. Re-attach track onto brackets and re-hang curtains. This method will give you a right hand cord drop. If you require a left hand cord, just reverse all operations above.
Thread the operating cord through one wheel of the live-end pulley, through the holes in the carriers, the cord connectors of the master carrier and the eyebolt of the end stop. Push the master carriers to the ends leaving the loop, then pull the cords from the down pulley, watching the loop at the master glider, and loop it over the ‘lug or cleat’ as it becomes taught. For tracks corded from both sides this won’t be necessary.

Some curtain track systems offer master carriers that allow for easy attachment of a wand or baton to draw curtains or draperies open or closed. For systems where a master carrier is not offered, you can also add an additional carrier between the 1st and 2nd carrier on each panel, allowing a free carrier that can be used to support a baton or wand.
Remove the slack from the cord at the master carrier with the free ends of cord and secure the cord at both masters with the cord connectors provided. Cut off the excess cord.
Attach the first four hooks of the curtain to the master carrier. Attach your next hook to the runner closest to the carrier and continue on to the edge of the track. Repeat the process for the second side if the blind is centre close. The Tension Device reduces the chance of strangulation by limiting access to the control cord.
Step 4) Expand Curtain Track to appropriate length & insert into brackets from the front ensuring they clip into place securely. Secure centre of track into all centre supports. Step 5) To shorten any excess cord, pull cord out from behind master carrier until cord reaches desired height.
