Apr 29, 2020 · Ironically, I'm going through this also with Novolog but suspect it's not Novolog but something else going on. I've only been on insulin since Oct '19 but am finding the last couple of months my bg is running a lot higher (125ish vs 90's) and am having to bolus more.

Feb 6, 2011 · Just found out my insurance is dropping coverage of Humalog and will now only cover Novolog. My pharmacist tells me Novolog does come in a pen form that doesn't have to be refrigerated after its first use, same as the Humalog, but that it only comes in 100-unit pens instead of 300-unit pens like the Humalog.

Oct 30, 2012 · Anyone using NovoLog Flexpen tell me if they ever experience problems with the screw and the gasket right underneath the plunger? The plastic gasket on all of my Flexpens all fall out of place and the screw wont push the plunger up for the right amount of dosage. I was getting sick for a while.

My novolog is taking 3.5 to 4.5 hours tostart bringing my after keal sugars down and that is if I inject in the abs. The thighs and buttocks can be 4.5 to 6 hours and then it is like jumping off a cliff. My endocrinologist says site rotation and scaring are my issues.

Aug 25, 2024 · As for change in insulin types I suggest you go back to Novo insulin and use Novolog in your pump. I personally found Novo insulin to be superior for me. I presently use Fiasp, a Novo insulin also, due to it's faster acting characteristic that works well with a pump.

Jul 12, 2010 · The main difference between Novolog & Apidra is the onset and duration. Apidra has a quicker onset and it doesn't last as long. People will say that one should take their bolus 15mins before eating. This is ok, but with novolog it won't do much in 15mins whereas Apidra will.
