Woondum National Park is located 18km south-east of Gympie and 4km west of Kin Kin. The main landscape features within the park are the two peaks of Mount Boulder and Mothar Mountain, local namesake of the reserve.
While it is close to Noosa, Tuchekoi National Park sits on the eastern edge of the Mary River catchment. The small tributaries to the west of the mountain flow into Coles Creek and into the Mary River.
