Muse Records was a jazz record company and label founded in New York City by Joe Fields in 1972. [1] Fields worked as an executive for Prestige Records in the 1960s. [2] Several of the albums were previously released on Cobblestone Records.

He liked their work and offered them a contract with his record label, Dangerous Records and put them in the studio with producer Paul Reeve. Muse released their first EP called Muse in 1997.
