2021年6月10日 · For jogging, walking, most sports non-running sneakers are better suited, expecially for people with a wide midfoot, low arches, flat feet. I didn't know it when I made the first post. But only the orange new balance in the OP is a running shoe. Even at 4E the midfoor isn't as wide as standard width "non-running" athletic shoes

2021年3月31日 · I`v been looking into Xero HFS, Vivobarefoot Primus lite 2-3/Geo racer, Freet Flex and Vapor glove 3 Luna leather. But it all comes down to get a shoe that is wide enough from the midfoot-area, with a little stretchy upper-material, and with a wide toebox. In the summer I will get sandals, but for now, I need minimalist running-shoes.

2023年5月31日 · My foot is a similar shape. I dont find my midfoot being a bit compressed to be too much of a problem and prefer normal width shoes with a wide toebox to wide shoes that feel loose and like my heel is moving around. Shoes that press my toes inwards i avoid.

2020年12月27日 · I've been using some compression on my midfoot while resting today and it does seem to help. I also have a spiky massage ball I can use to to do the exercise you suggested. I would suggest that continuing to put a lot of intensity into the area without this outside arch being able to absorb the load is probably not a good idea Point taken.

My point however was that the self-prevention of landing on the heel for an adult that is used to high-drop shoes and sitting down many hours a day might not yield a natural stride or good running form, but rather a new toe-striking tippety-tappety step that will cause stress on other parts of the body and ultimately injury.

My current shoes are the New Balance 1080v10 and I get red marks on the top of the midfoot with them but I have 250 miles on them and will just keep using them until they are worn out. I usually use my thinnest socks with them. I have the Fresh Foam More v2 as a recovery shoe and those are roomier.
