2014年9月9日 · Since the Surface Pen seems to need a higher working voltage with the batteries than other devices do. A lot of batteries have an initial steep drop in voltage output, then flattens out to a slow steady decline from 1.5 down to around 1.0 volt, then drops off the cliff.

2019年6月14日 · The pen is a generic pen, probably from China and when it was working, it seemed to work pretty well. Also, the pen is not Bluetooth. The package is labeled S Pen Active Stylus. I have rebooted the SP4, I have installed and re-installed the drivers from Microsoft. Nothing has worked.

2022年9月17日 · So I have a Surface Pro 8 I got for my birthday and it works like a charm. I have a Slim 2 Pen I use for drawing and today, while I was drawing, the pen just stopped working which was weird. It just stopped in the middle of drawing. The pen battery is in the 90's and it's paired too. The eraser top part works but not the tip which is confusing.

2014年10月7日 · Because the pen still wrote, microsoft considered it a hardware failure, and posted me a free pen with no request for me to return the old one. Since the new pen arrived, i troed the old one a few times, still broken. Today however, i grabbed the spare faulty pen just to make a note, and lo and behold, the buttons work perfectly.

2017年10月21日 · I noticed since some time that from time to time (usually after resuming from hibernation), the Surface Pen of my Surface Book stops working. I can use the shortcut button but it won't draw anything in any app. It's detected properly, and battery is at 80%. The only way I found to make it work again is to restart the Surface Book.
