At this point in the story, Solid Snake has fought and beaten Ocelot, Grey Fox, Psycho Mantis, Sniper Wolf, Sniper Wolf again, Vulcan Raven, and Metal Gear Rex…and he STILL beats Liquid Snake during their confrontation on top of Rex.
