Read this leaflet carefully before you start to use Enoxaparin Sodium Injection. Keep this information because it has important information about how to properly use this medication. These directions for use may differ from the instructions provided by your healthcare provider because instructions are different for different manufacturers.
Take Lovenox 2 times a day. — Spread out your doses by 12 hours. — Rotate which side of your stomach you give the shots. For instance, give the shot on the left side in the morning and the right side in the afternoon. Take Lovenox at the same time(s) every day. Follow your health care provider’s directions.
Get ready for the injection by: • getting the single dose enoxaparin syringe and the yellow sharps bin near you and ready to use. • washing and drying your hands. • cleaning (wiping) the area of skin that you will be injecting into. • if a carer is giving you the injection, they should wear disposable latex or vinyl medical gloves.
