2011年7月13日 · Bench test a wiper motor I rebuilt my wiper motor a few months back. My wiper motor is for a 1969 Firebird but it is probably the same for a Camaro. I tested it using a 12 volt battery. The photo below shows the battery connected to the motor. The red jumper is +12 VDC and the black one is -12 VDC. The yellow and green wires are not connected yet.
How can I test the wiper motor to see if its bad? Help please
2004年6月9日 · As I stated above, the wiper motor always has power to it when the key is on and the small wire commands the wiper controller on and off through LinBus and the J519 controller. What you are saying makes a ton of sense, though.

2003年3月29日 · Here it is, by request. Use test leads to connect switch to motor. Test switch between metal part and spade terminals for 0 ohms in each position. Low is just light blue at 0 ohm, High is both black and light blue at 0 ohm. Washer+ low are light blue and dark blue at 0 ohm. Any questions? Kevin

2007年3月25日 · Your 70 motor may not be burnt. 9 times out of 10 the Lower Bearing is seized. You can dissemble the unit but do not suggest you try to take out the Stator and windings - just lift the stator shaft, clean bushing contacts, blow out case and spray the bottom bearing area with Rust Check and oil with something like 3in1 or bearing oil.

The main difference between this one and the old style one is that the Caddy one, power is routed through the switch and the wiper motor acts a the ground (internally).

To test the wiring unplug the wiper motor and washer pump connectors. 1. Test for 12V on the yellow wire (I think you're calling that the white wire) on the two connectors.

2010年11月26日 · While grounding one lead of the self-powered test light or ohm meter, test each terminal of the harness and change the switch positions to see if you are getting the grounds at the proper time. (Both the black and light blue when in low and just the light blue in high.) You can test the dark blue wire too to test the pump operation.
