Rost was a major character in Horizon Zero Dawn and a cameo character in Horizon Forbidden West. He was a Nora outcast, and the guardian of the Nora huntress Aloy, herself an outcast since birth. Tragic circumstances led him to willingly become an outcast for the rest of his life.
