2024年4月27日 · On the freeway (+65 mph), rebel's engine will be less strained, but on the shadow you'll feel more comfortable because it weights more (will be less affected by the wind). Objectively, the rebel 500 is better than the shadow 750 because of modern technology, and if you're buying them brand new the rebel 500 costs less.

2023年7月2日 · The shadow doesn’t hold much weight so there’s no need for a second seat. Also, if you’re a beginner, you may want to hold off on that second rider. I loved my Shadow RS before a Kia Soul took it away from me. Great beginner bikes. Mine was a 2010 and it had the speedo on the handlebar. Minor changes but still a Shadow nonetheless. Enjoy it!

2023年11月20日 · On the older models with no handlebar clamps, you can replace those bars with clamps and get aftermarket handle bars. I think it's not worth the extra for the newest model over the older ones. I rode a 2022 Honda Shadow Phantom recently and it felt exactly the same (they look good too)

2012年7月18日 · Sounds like a great starter bike for someone your size. I'm 5'11"; I haven't owned a Shadow, but all their bikes seem to fit people our height. I've owned three Honda bikes (and three Honda cars) and haven't had any serious problems with any of them. They definitely know how to build motors.

2018年12月28日 · No contest. SHADOW! The Rebel is really just a large scooter and there are uses for it. If you don't ever plan to take long trips and keep speeds at or under about 65MPH (ie. in town), the Rebel may be a better choice especially if weight is a concern. But if you want to "ride" then get the the Shadow or even a Harley Sportster.

2023年1月13日 · Live in Tennessee so year round usage. What I like about the Phantom is the shaft drive and size. Concerns are about the drum brake on back and no tachometer. Might consider the rebel 500 but seems to small and stripped down. The rebel 1100 looks great but might be overkill for what I want to do. No sense going there if the Phantom is sufficient.

2015年4月2日 · Great points here. Both are great, but they are totally different bikes. I've ridden a Honda Shadow (not the phantom) and I currently own and ride a Bolt R-Spec. I love the tubeless tires as well as the disk brakes and the basically no maintenance of the belt drive. I use it as a commuter (35 mi round trip) and a weekend warrior bike.

I bought an ultimate seat for my 2020 phantom and didn't think I'd want a passenger seat... well now I do and ultimate doesn't make one for the phantom. Hoping I can buy another brand of passenger seat and a sissy bar like yours (seen them on eBay with the pad and rack) and make it all fit.
