2022年9月11日 · Yeah central markets guanciale is actually very solid. There are a number of Texas farms that make their own you can actually order online. Pancetta yes you can get at any H‑E‑B, I do prefer Central Markets pancetta. Also similar with guanciale you can also find some local ish farms that do it. Sounds like you’re making something delicious!

Not in the far NW suburbs, but Pete’s Fresh Market carries guanciale. So does Frankie’s deli in Oak Brook. Might be worth trying some Italian delis. Frantonio’s or Heinen’s in Barrington might have some.

2023年10月15日 · Once guanciale is rendered down and browned, add a glug of olive oil and then add all onions and celery. Salt to taste. Sauté low and slow for 10 minutes. Add a glug of Passata in. Stir, turn heat up to high, add all the cabbage. Add 4 cups of water or veg/chicken stock. Stir all together. Add big pinch of salt.

2021年8月14日 · We normally buy our cured meats and sausages from the Spotted Trotter. Kevin Ouzts' guanciale is about the best domestic product we've had in the States. You probably can find authentic Italian guanciale at Antico Fresco up in Buckhead, but expect to pay top dollar (writing this in Rome where guanciale is ridiculously affordable).

2022年9月15日 · It's not guanciale per se, but I've seen smoked pork jowl from Smithfield sold at Meijer. Also, if you chop up some bacon and cook it in a pan with ~1/4 cup of water it gets pretty close to the texture of guanciale.
