2015年6月16日 · It seems very possible. Kids jump on everything. I could see one walk up to a water trough and think he was jumping onto it and actually jump into the water. I bet it would be hard for a kid to get out of a full 2' deep tank. Should I put some cinder blocks in the water or do something so that if the kids get in there they have a way to get out.

I do use a large galv. waterer for my chickens @ night - just to keep clean water for them. Otherwise, the chickens, goats, dogs get water in plastic/rubber/stainless steel.

2017年5月7日 · Oh, don't forget to get some water conditioner to remove the chlorine if you don't have a well. For just topping off the tanks you probably won't need it, but for larger water changes you will. Fish also do better with a little plain sea salt in the water--about a tablespoon per 5 gallons I think, but the pet store will know.

I don't have any now and I have yucky crap on the top of the water now. so for algae and keeping water crystal clear they won't work. they're said to keep mosquito population down though.

Sometimes my fault from leaving the hose on and sometimes due to heavy rain. 2) Water too hot, no shady areas for fish to hide and cool down. This was a 10' diameter galvanized trough in Louisiana.
