What classes would you give the Lord of the Rings characters?

2017年3月17日 · Anybody who doesn't concede Gimli would knock the fuck out of The Mountain without breaking a sweat knows nothing about dwarves. Dwarves are A LOT heartier than humans. I doubt The Mountain could crush Gimli's skull. Let alone get past his axe. Dwarves are pure drunken crass bad asses and Gimli is one of their best.

2023年8月22日 · Yes. Gimli won. Score = Gimli: 42 - Legolas: 41 (The movies say 43 - 42... not sure where they got that from. Doesnt make a difference but its strange seeing such a small change. Maybe mistake?) He won from such a huge gap in points too. I would say Gimli (overall) is a better fighter than Legolas, despite the way the movies portray things.

The answers others have given are true for the context of the movie. While in the books Gimli never says this at Moria, he does say something similar after the battle at Helms Deep. In the book during the battle Gimli is separated from Aragorn and Legolas and driven into the cave system together with Eomer and other Rohan folk.

2023年8月20日 · Gimli is a Dwarf in his prime, of the line of Durin, the father of the Longbeards. This makes Gimli a member of a branch of Dwarvish royalty. Also, in the books, Aragorn and Legolas were given armor from Théoden that was made in Gondor. Gimli's own armor from Erebor was better, though Théoden gave him a helmet and small shield.

As to why Legolas and Gimli specifically I'm not sure a clearer reason is ever given, but Gimli at least seemed to be the only dwarf present who was still fit for such a quest.
