2020年8月27日 · GMU, having trained a bunch of older academics (many of whom don’t want to have to rework their methods, or get used to new interfaces), is facing natural opposition. What Georgetown did was migrate to Canvas by running it concurrently with the legacy Blackboard for a couple years, and then they pulled the plug on Blackboard.

2023年5月1日 · My undergrad made the switch from Blackboard to Canvas after my first year (2019), and the difference between them was striking. Canvas is so much easier to navigate and actually interact with. When I got accepted to graduate school at GMU last month, I was genuinely surprised to see we still use Blackboard.

This issue began at approximately 4 p.m. today. Information Technology Services (ITS) is working with Blackboard to restore service.

2017年8月26日 · Also, not every Professor likes blackboard so they do not use it. Your remaining professors may not have blackboard set up yet because they may not use it. I wouldn't stress about it. Your professor will let you know on the first day. Just make sure to check your GMU email for updates from your professors!

2023年8月21日 · Your professor may need to delete the “Purchase Course Materials” tab from the course. For whatever reason, the bookstore’s link was crashing my Blackboard page. This tab is automatically added to courses each semester, so they may not realize this is the issue (but professors can delete it).
Does blackboard total points reflect final grade on PatriotWeb?
2020年5月21日 · My physics teacher showed us our weighted total, so blackboard was accurate, but added a 10% curve to everyone who did much better on the final than the other tests after the fact, meaning for me blackboard was 10% low. It all depends, best way to know is to check your final grades on patriotweb.
