Elkport is a city in Clayton County, Iowa, United States. The population was 29 at the time of the 2020 census, down from 88 in 2000. [2] Elkport was laid out as a town in 1855. It was named from the Elk Creek. [3] The town was severely damaged by floods in May 2004.
