Stephen John Ditko[1][2] (/ ˈdɪtkoʊ /; November 2, 1927 – June 29, 2018) was an American comic book writer best known for being the co-creator of Marvel superhero Spider-Man and creator of Doctor Strange. He also made notable contributions to the character of Iron Man, introducing the character's red and yellow design.
