It makes for a lot easier pick up and take down and allows you to make a realistic looking raft of decoys in some areas where it's too deep for single decoys. Mainly for diver hunting.

More recently I have been considering making up some 4-5' long Texas rigs without weights, clipping the first decoy to an anchor line, and then clipping each 4-5' Texas rig to the decoy in front of it.
