He’s still having significant pain (he describes as sharp stabbing) in abdomen below where his stoma used to be, which is only controlled by pain meds (10mg perc). He’s tried ibuprofen 800, Tylenol etc and it does nothing for him. It was an open surgery.

I occasionally get a little tugging pain at my stoma site. Come to find out I have a small hernia. I was told after having the colostomy and reversal surgeries we are more prone to getting hernias.

2015年2月18日 · I had my colostomy reversal in Sep 2014. The procedure went well, with mild pain only. However, since then I have experienced seriously embarrassing gas all the time. I also get terrible diarrhea almost as soon as I finish eating. In addition, I get terrible stabbing pain around my scars - once sending me to ER. They found nothing wrong with me.

Like you, I had a perforation, high white count, sepsis & I, too, almost died. I was in ICU on a respirator for 13 days (& in a drug induced coma) while the antibiotics via IV were trying to clear the infection.
