CHIRP downloads¶ CHIRP is distributed as a series of automatically-generated builds. Any time we make a change to CHIRP, a build is created for it the next day. Thus, CHIRP is versioned by the date on which it was created, which makes it easy to determine if you have an older build.

CHIRP provides the ability to transfer data between incompatible radios by means of Copy and Paste functions. For example, if you have opened a Yaesu VX-8 image and an Icom IC-2820 in CHIRP, you can use the Copy and Paste function to transfer memories between them.

It can occur when: (UV-5R) Incorrect software version for your firmware release. BFB290 and_prior, and BFB291_and_later require different software. They are not interchangeable.
