2020年11月20日 · Those “tea machines” (for lack of a better word) make extremely strong tea with a high tea:water ratio that will be pretty hard to replicate at home. Either way, you should try to brew as strong of a tea as possible without causing the tea to go astringent. Most bubble tea places use normal whole milk, so I think you should start there.

2023年3月24日 · I get quite a few milk teas with no sugar added and avoid the tapioca pearls. Jasmine milk tea, oolong milk tea, black milk tea, matcha milk tea, coffee milk tea. It’s just tea with creamer most of the time. I’m sure the creamer (I use heavy whipping cream) has a minimal amount if sugar in it, but nothing that’s too severe.

If you have the money for it, Hayslon is my recommendation for cakes in the 10-20 year range -- they're not overpriced but their tea is very well aged and good quality, and the price reflects that.
