2024年1月16日 · The motor vibrated very little, even at very low trolling speeds. "A" for vibration. The one thing to be aware of is that Mercury now uses soft rubber bushings to reduce vibration. They are very effective but I suspect will need replacement on a relatively regular basis. The Mercury tilt straps seemed weird to me at first but they are awesome.

2024年11月28日 · I have the Kraken on my NR, and I run the Epoch 36V 100AH and so far, so good after this last season. I ran it in conjunction with my trolling motor most days at B10 to prolong the battery, but as a test ran it all day only trolling on the Kraken and the battery made it with a little charge to spare at the end of the day.

I didn't look too much into the different battery options, just got 2 from Costco and they seem to do the trick. If I were to do it again, I'd try to get some lighter batteries, weighing the setup with motor was right around 150lbs.

I'm also looking at the Li Time 24V 20A charger setup. I wrote Li Time and they said you can charge two 12V batteries in series with their 24V charger in about 5-6 hours.

Look at the RV setups. 200 watts seems to be sufficient to maintain batteries in an RV with normal use. If your trolling motor battery is a 100 AH battery and you use 50%, say 20 amps for 2.5 hours.

2008年3月5日 · You have been given some very good advice! I scrapped my E-Trolling motor after trying it out for two full years. (Minn Kota 80 lb - 24 volt) It was not worth the considerable effort. Corrosion is the biggest problem! Not with the motor, but with the connections to both the battery and to the connect between the motor and the battery.

To solve this problem in the past I put my trolling motor in the garage after every trip. Sort of a pain but it was effective.
