What CPU cooler is very quiet and has good perfomance?
relevant specs: 5800X3D be quiet! Pure Base 500DX, so the max length is 240mm My Budget is $300. Thank you Edit: I will probably keep the cooler for more than 5 years, so I guess I want to a future proof one, so I can buy a beefier CPU (Very high chance that I will buy the top of the line CPU from AMD next gen).

2020年12月9日 · A 240/360mm radiator has a huge surface area but doesn't block access to the motherboards like a large air cooler does. Looks prettier. A custom loop can cool both the CPU and GPU much more efficiently than air - but is very pricy and adds a number of points of failure.
What do you recommend for a quiet, good air CPU cooler?
Note - the Peerless Assassin isn't a cheaply constructed cooler - it's a dual tower heatsink, 6 heat-pipe dual fan cooler. At a 120w load, it kicked everybody's asses - as cool as the Dark Rock Pro 4, cooler than the NH-D15, Scythe Fuma 2 Rev B, Noctua NH-U12A, etc. Mind you, almost all those coolers cost around $100.

2021年3月4日 · I've got a Ryzen 5 3600X and it's great but the stock cooler is quite noisy. I adjusted the fan curves so it quiets down when idle, but it's still annoying. I'm looking at buying an after-market cooler, the biggest criterion is that it's quiet. I'm mostly deciding between Noctua or BeQuiet coolers.

2023年1月15日 · I went for Noctua NT-H1 thermal paste with a Scythe FUMA2 cooler. I've also 3x B-Quiet Pure Wings fans (2 in, 1 out). First thing I did was go into the BIOS and set all fans to max, just to hear it at it's worse. I could hear the fans, but it was very quiet all going max rpm. Day to day the rig is totally silent.

I’m trying to get those temps down while helping airflow in the entire case, and I may also look into overclocking my CPU down the line. I’m torn between a be quiet! cooler or a water cooler that I would place at the top of the case, introducing 2 fans instead of one.

2021年4月9日 · You're implying two things here that a single tower air cooler will struggle with anything but low wattage chips. That's nonsense. You can cool even a 5950X with a single tower air cooler. In fact, I'm doing exactly that myself. A nice silent 21.4 dB one. Almost twice as quiet as that ASETEK pump, even without accounting for the AIO's fans.

A Thermalright compatibility test like Noctuas or Be Quiet would be great. Actually a single tower cooler with two fans would fit as well and adding a second fan to single tower cooler like the be quiets doesn’t seem too popular with double tower heatsinks available. And using more heatsink potential seems reasonable to keep noise down.
