2024年1月29日 · I've got a winch, a 12000IB badlands. I've mounted it to a badlands hitch mount and wired it to my battery via a high capacity jumper cable directly to the battery terminals. Upon using the remote to pull even under zero load, the winch just clicks rapidly. The other direction it clicks once and stops. In either case the winch doesn't budge.

2023年10月10日 · I have 4 badlands winches. Have not had any issues with them. You should have a high amp breaker before the battery disconnect switch. The breaker will trip about a half second after the winch stalls.

2015年9月7日 · If you figure winch capacity at 1.5 times the vehicle weight, a 10,000lb truck would use a 15,000lb winch. If you double the line over that is a potential for twice the winch capacity = 30,000lbs. Your 12,000lb winch isn't far off and should serve well. Double the line over on the block and you're looking at 24,000lbs.

2019年4月6日 · I had a winch in storage that I finally pulled out to wire up once and for all. It was covered, never wet or damaged. Badlands 9000 lbs winch. I wired it up to my truck's battery and its clicking but there's no movement in or out. It sounds like it's fighting itself. Free spooling is OK so it's not binding.

2023年12月1日 · Yeah, I’m not sure. My non-Apex Badlands 12k free spools much easier and I definitely had the same question as you when I got the Apex. I actually had to get my first Apex replaced immediately because it wouldn’t free spool at all. Maybe their manufacturing tolerances are just way too tight or they’ve made design changes within the past year.

2023年8月14日 · Correct. I don’t think it’s a remove issue even with the remote switch turned off on the winch once you connect the power cable to the battery it starts pulling line in. So I’m starting to think it’s a stuck solenoid. Im gonna dig into it more this weekend.
