Its the perfect cam for stock compression having a short duration but takes advantage of the amc's large valves by opening them way up. The 112*lobe center is better than the 110* and 108* most other "performance" cams offer for smooth idle and good vacuum.

2007年3月24日 · I run an AMC 360 in my YJ. You can not use CJ motor mounts unless you plan on making some sort of spacer. Reason being, the CJ frame is more narrow than a YJ, so when using a YJ frame the mounts are too short. I run the Advance Adapter motor mounts. I welded and drilled them to the frame just for a little extra strength.

2003年10月18日 · Fred's are made by taking a Chevy 350 dist, cutting the casting below the circular disk where it rides in the Chevy block, then drilling holes and screwing a new lower shaft housing in with knurled allens. It uses the standard AMC V8 distributor gear (or at least I used the one that came off my old dist).

2002年10月3日 · I just installed a balancer on a 360 and it was a bitch. I tapped it on a little bit then tried to tighten up the bolt. Whoops I stripped the first few threads. I tapped on the fawkig balancer with a dead blow a little mor until I could get a bunch more threads on.

2009年11月8日 · Insert AMC 360 with appropriate flexplate/flywheel for the motor, bolt on CJ 360 motor mounts and you're basically done. CJs came with a 304 which is the same shape and size as the 360 and all of the mounts will bolt onto holes already in your CJs frame. You can even go down to your local autoparts store and get V8 radiators and any part you need.

The distributor gear in a friend's 360 is badly worn out and when I pulled the distributor, the gear was bone dry, despite having been idling for several minutes shortly before. Looking into the hole with a flashlight, I saw no traces of oil being splashed anywhere. Thanks.
