2011年8月23日 · The only two years that will DIRECTLY interchange would be 1993/1994. If you were versed in rebuilding these things, you could use anything up to 1998 with a little fuckery. Namely, keeping the case, pump and valve body (including electronics) from your original 1994 transmission, and swapping over ONLY the hard internal parts.

2014年1月21日 · You can create a 95 trans out of a 96 or vice versa, but you have to change the 3-2 solenoid, the valve body, and the separator plate. If only the 3-2 solenoid is changed (and not the valve body casting), the transmission will 'cut loose' on 3-2 downshifts (shift from 3rd to neutral, then to 2nd as the accelerator is released). 12 pin connector.

2020年2月3日 · On cursory inspection the 12491883 appears to be a 4x4 4L60e same as my transmission, I imagine there are some differences internally and possibly electronically. If anyone could chime in with more info as to if this thing will work for me, and/or what would be required to make it work for me I'd appreciate it.

2011年2月8日 · To put a '96 4L60E into a '95 car: The '95 tailshaft housing and VSS must be installed on the '96 4L60E before the trans can be bolted into the car. Technically, the 3-2 downshift solenoid should be swapped also, but experience shows that it is not required. No other modifications are necessary. But then someone says:

2022年2月23日 · If not, run it. Unless you hammer your transmission regularly, the 4L60E isn't something to fear. Back in the squarebody days, everybody had a TH350, and when the 700R4/4L60 came out it was considered a serious upgrade. It's only in the last twenty years that everyone has come to expect a transmission to be bulletproof to abuse.

2014年8月21日 · The pump, drums, shafts, gears all interchange. Valve body and spacer plate, 3-2 solenoid are not interchangeable but you would be buying all new electrical / electronic components anyway so non-issue there.
