2013年12月25日 · The dealer found the noise after keeping it for 4 days. All the while I was provided a loaded 2013 Hyundai Azera to drive by the dealership. I want to add that Johnson Hyundai in Cary, NC has been awesome through out all of this!! Attached is a snapshot of the final receipt from the dealer. I will let their words describe the fix.

When I have the steering wheel in the center 12:00 position while parked then turn about 2% or so left or right there is a thump sound with about a 5% play in the overall motion from the 12:00 position. Only notice while parking and very slow speeds. No thump going over bumps or taking wide turns at speed.

Grease sure helped, Use to be able to pop a steering wheel off with a nut that held the wheel, but now with all the electronics, light, radio, cruise, directional, programming, not for the timid.

2013年11月25日 · Also can be determined by moving the steering wheel left or right while the vehicle is not moving and hearing the same noise. My entire column was replaced under warrantee on my 2011 Sonata. No more noise and steering feels "tighter" :thumbsup:. Hyundai is aware of this as they were with the brake light switch but have not offered a recall as yet.
