2017年6月10日 · Folks, I started carving with the Dremel and stepped up to the Mastercarver. I've used their grease ($10.95 for a small syringe of special lube for 3 shafts) and there's a great video from Foredom on how to grease the flexshaft.

2018年8月24日 · I'm trying to install a brand new 225 flex shaft on my Dremel 3000 and when I insert the square shaft into the square nut, I then have to push fairly hard for the threads on the cover to engage. Once screwed down, the shaft is no longer where it belongs to operate as the shaft doesn't spin with the Dremel.

2010年4月30日 · As for the Dremel, I can only relate it to my own rotary tool and say that the flex shaft should screw on and off the main body as mine does. There are grease graphite compounds available to lube the shaft. Check out a thread on this heading about just that. The excessive noise may well be derived from a shaft in need of lubing.

2021年10月28日 · I had been power carving with a Dremel Flex shaft but it is making a lot of rattling noise. I bought the Foredom SR Flex shaft with the table top dial control. Along with it, I bought two hand pieces -- H.44T and H.30 C2. I am really happy with the Foredom. The level is much lower than the Dremel by 10 db based upon my phone measurements.

I bought a shaft for it, got some decent carving bits and started playing with it. I power carved for several years just using this tool. Do get rid of any bits that come with your Dremel though....they're not wood carving bits. Totally useless to us. The Dremel runs 30,000 RPMs, which is a decent speed for doing both hogging and detail.

2019年7月14日 · The dremel hand piece and flex shaft are heavy and awkward for me handle. Gotta set my arm on a support for better control. I went through the micro carver hand sets and NSK type dental and was unhappy with the effort required and the results.
