Definitely the spiciest instant ramen I've tried and I've tried many spicy this and extra hot that and they felt like nothing, but I actually feel these 2x . Definitely way higher than 8000. It burns my mouth nearly the same way the reaper does and I get endorphin release. They are definitely downplaying the spicy level 🤣

I'm assuming that the pepper used in these noodles are concentrated as fuck and dissolved in the aroma oil, causing the heat to "stick" to the inside of your mouth, and making it feel hotter than the scoville rating might imply.

Everyone’s different. I happen to really like the 2 x Spicy and find the spiciness about spot on. That being said it’s worth bearing in mind that you shouldn’t be eating the noodles alone but adding protein, veggies and maybe some pickles. My personally favourite is the 2x spicy with salmon, prawns and pickled mustard greens.

2022年9月29日 · I agree. They aren’t hot to me either. To my non pepper head friends they seem hot. I’d say they are as hot as a jalapeño, which is around 8000 Scoville. I think 2x buldak spicy ramen is higher than 11,000, but that’s what Samyang lists them at. Scoville measurements, in my experience, aren’t very consistent.

Looks like you make your instant ramen the same way I make mine (little to no water). Great way to max out the flavor and heat. With the over-the-top reactions to this I think it's usually some combination of attention-seeking and a lack of exposure to spicy food in general.

2022年4月3日 · The 2x are spicy, but I enjoy eating them and they are not bad at all. Compared to stuff like the “one chip” and similar, these noodles are pretty tame but definitely hotter than most other instant ramen I’ve tried. I even bought a bottle of the 2x sauce so I can add extra sauce to my noodles! lol I even add it to fried eggs for breakfast.
