2023年4月19日 · Tow bar choices would be: Blue Ox Ascent, Roadmaster Sterling, or Roadmaster Nighthawk (not sure about the LED lights). Thanks for the assist! I only have experience with Roadmaster, but am happy with both the baseplate and towbar.

2015年4月19日 · I installed a blue-Ox base plate and tow bar on our 08 Honda CR-V and had the tail lights and a AirForce One installed, all at the same time. I also had the brake light for the AFO wired into the dash of our coach. The whole job took three guys a complete day to complete. The amount of work varies by the tow vehicle.

They both have aircraft grade aluminum outer assemblies for light weight, and approx the same capacity (8000 lbs for the Roadmaster vs. 7500 for the Blue Ox).

Total time to do the maintenance on the tow bar, approximately 30 minutes or less. Before you start make sure that you have the 2 different size tie wraps and don't use a 1/8" wrap on the cylinder land.

2007年7月2日 · Blue Ox's recommendation is that the receiver hitch of the motorhome should never be more than 4 inches higher than the baseplate attachment points. Four inches or less keeps the tow bar level with the ground or slightly angled up towards the coach from the car. The tow bar should never be angled "up" towards the car from the coach.
