Part of Cape May Point State Park, the World War II Lookout Tower – officially known as Fire Control Tower No. 23 – was built in 1942 and is New Jersey's last restorable tower from World War II.
It takes about 10 minutes to climb up the tower, but most visitors say the trek is worth it; describing the vantage point from the top of the Pilgrim Monument as one of the best on the Cape.
