Eastern Samar Gov. Ben Evardone welcomed the province’s rosy economy, but stressed the need to sustain this growth to ensure it would benefit all residents, especially those in remote areas.

One fatality due to drowning was reported in Borongan City, Eastern Samar as floods hit many areas in Luzon and Visayas amid the celebration of Christmas, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said.
