Spread half of the icing over one cake. Sandwich the cakes together, then spread the remaining icing on the top and swirl. Arrange dried banana slices in a ring or spiral pattern on top of the cake.

Sadly, that creates a conundrum, since sometimes we just want a single slice at a time, and don't have the strength in numbers to justify whipping up an entire cake creation for a one-off craving.
